Celcom Axiata partners Xperanti to commercialise IoT solutions

Telecommunications company Celcom Axiata is collaborating with with network provider Xperanti IoT to leverage the capabilities of Sigfox 0G technology for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Sigfox has worked with brands such as Michelin, Airbus, LVMH, Volkswagen, Changi Airport Singapore According to a press release, the two companies plan to collaborate to identify proven use cases and commercialise IoT solutions , leveraging Sigfox technology with Celcom’s network to further accelerate the adoption of IoT in Malaysia . It is also stated that as Sigfox’s exclusive operator, Xperanti began laying the groundwork for IoT deployment last year and has achieved 85 percent coverage by population in Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak. According to the press release, Xperanti will continue to densify the network to achieve > 95% coverage by 2020 to support the adoption of Industry 4.0 in Malaysia. Dialog and Health Informatics Society of SL to establish ‘Digital Health Innovation Laboratory’

CELCOM Axiata Bhd on Oct 17 launched ‘Celcom Business Suite’ for Retail, a one-stop digital communication and operational solutions specially designed to grow and digitise retail businesses. The new Celcom Business Suite for Retail offers end-to-end business solutions in one package; mobile connectivity with the flexibility of huge data allocation, wireless internet, and combined with solutions for sales and marketing to operations without the need to source from multiple providers.
